The Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility (IKEM) is currently offering internship opportunities (full time) for a period of at least three months starting in May or June 2026.
IKEM is a Berlin-based NGO and an affiliated institute of the University of Greifswald. We work on an interdisciplinary basis to address key scientific and policy questions related to the transition towards a sustainable economic and social system. Our core research areas include the expansion of renewable energy, climate protection, and the future of energy networks and transport systems.
Your tasksAt IKEM, you can expect a range of varied and engaging tasks. We are mainly looking for someone to support the development and organisation of our Summer Academy (https://academy.ikem.de/).
Depending on your interests, background, and level of experience, you may also:
- Contribute to research projects, including independent content-related work
- Assist with the preparation of project proposals and other project or research management tasks
- Prepare content and support the organisation of workshops and scientific conferences
We are looking for students (e.g. in law, political science, social sciences, communication studies, economics, or business administration) with above-average academic performance and a strong interest in IKEM’s research topics. Excellent German and English language skills are required. You must be enrolled at a university. Mandatory internships are preferred.
